Toronto-based brokerage Jacob Securities Inc. is adding to its research department in the hot sectors of rare earths, uranium, lithium and coal.
The brokerage hired Luisa Moreno from Lusight Research, which analyzes emerging markets for clients such as Goldman Sachs, which provides Lusight's product to institutional customers. At Lusight, she covered global precious and base metals companies.
She is one of three new hires in Jacob's research department.
Jacob also hired Mark Jarvi as as associate in research covering renewable power and clean technology and Cameron Bean as a research associate in oil and gas.
