Romios Gold Resources Inc. (RG-X), which hit near-year lows yesterday, announced that it has commenced an exploration program on its Newmont Lake and Trek Projects located in the Golden Triangle mineralized district in northwestern British Columbia.

Lara Exploration Ltd. (LRA-X) said it has completed a definitive agreement with the Kiwanda Mining Partners LP. to generate, acquire and develop coal projects in Peru and Colombia. Under the terms of the agreement, Kiwanda will fund a $1.8-million U.S. generative exploration program over three years, with $600,000 committed in year one.

Marathon Gold Corporation (MOZ-T) has announced results from the summer 2012 drilling program at the Valentine Lake Project. The company said step-out drilling at the Leprechaun Gold Deposit has intersected new high-grade gold mineralization up to 150 meters down-dip from the previously defined Main Zone boundary.

CVTech Group Inc. (CVT-T), which closed at $1.05 yesterday, announced today that its subsidiary Thirau ltee (Thirau), has been awarded two new contracts by Hydro-Quebec with a total value of $14.1-million. SGX Resources Inc. (SXR-X), which rose nearly five per cent yesterday, announced that it has entered into an option agreement with each of Randall Salo, Michael Tremblay and Jacques Robert. The trio have provided SGX with an option to acquire a 100 per cent undivided interest in eight mineral claims held by them in Zavitz Township and Hincks Township in the Porcupine and Larder Lake Mining Districts in the Timmins, Ontario area.

Firan Technology Group Corporation (FTG-T) announced financial results for the second quarter 2012. Sales grew by four per cent over second quarter 2011 and by seven per cent over year-to-date 2011. This was also the fifth consecutive profitable quarter for the company. Meanwhile, earnings increased 50 per cent over second quarter 2011, with $0.2-million expenses related to startup of FTG Aerospace Tianjin and FTG Aerospace Chatsworth.

Morumbi Resources Inc. (MOC-X) announced that Lindsay Semple has been appointed chief executive officer. Semple is assuming the role of CEO from Mark Brennan, who has served as Morumbi’s CEO since December, 2009. Morumbi announced that Brennan has been appointed Morumbi’s Executive Chairman.
