MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. says its second-quarter profit rose to $29.6-million, or 72 cents per share, as revenue increased 21 per cent over the comparable period last year.
Revenue improved to $194.9-million from $160.8-million in the second quarter of 2010.
A year earlier, the space robotics and information company had $25-million or 61 cents per share of profit including discontinued operations.
Continuing operations generated $14.9-million of net income and discontinued operations contributed $10.1-million in the second quarter of 2010.
