ACCO Brands Announces Changes to Board of Directors12:42 EDT Monday, April 05, 2010 LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. (Business Wire) -- ACCO Brands Corporation (NYSE: ABD), a world leader in select categories of branded office products, announced today that its Board of Directors has nominated Kathleen S. Dvorak and Sheila Talton for election as directors at the company's 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. In addition, Dr. Patricia O. Ewers will step down from the ACCO Brands Board of Directors following the annual meeting. Ms. Dvorak is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Richardson Electronics, Ltd., a global provider of engineered solutions and distributor of electronic components serving the RF (radio frequency) and wireless communications, electron device, industrial power conversion and display systems markets. Previously, she had been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of United Stationers, Inc., an office products wholesaler and distributor, from 2001 until 2007. Prior to that, she served in various positions in United Stationers' finance operations. Ms. Dvorak has an MBA degree in Finance from DePaul University, and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education from Northern Illinois University. She serves on the Board of Directors of Marianjoy, Inc., which operates more than 100 health and shelter service organizations in four states. She is also a member of the Board of Executive Advisors of the College of Business at Northern Illinois University. Ms. Talton has been Vice President, Office of Globalization, for Cisco Systems, Inc., a leading global supplier of Internet Protocol-based networking and other products, since 2008. From 2004 to 2008 she also held vice president positions in Cisco's Advisory Services and China groups following an extensive career in the information technology industry. Prior to joining Cisco, Ms. Talton served in multiple roles with EDS, including as President of its Business Process Innovation Global Consulting Practice. Previously, she was a Vice President in the Midwest Technology Practice for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. In 1987, she founded Unisource Network Services, one of the first independent information technology firms specializing in the integration of voice, data, and video communication platforms. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Foundation, and was previously a director of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Lighthouse for the Blind. Ms. Talton has received numerous honors and awards, including being named Business Leader of Color by Chicago United, and Entrepreneur of the Year by the National Federation of Black Women Business Owners. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Speech Communications from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Patricia O. Ewers was not nominated for re-election at the 2010 Annual Meeting because she has reached the Board's mandatory retirement age. Prior to her retirement in July 2000, she had served as President of Pace University, having been the fifth president and the first woman to lead the university. Dr. Ewers was formerly chief academic officer and a professor of English at DePaul University. She is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago, where she was awarded a Ph.D. in English.
