AutoNation Announces Updated Estimate of First Quarter EPS from Continuing Operations09:06 EDT Tuesday, April 06, 2010FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE: AN), America's largest automotive retailer, today announced an updated earnings estimate for the first quarter ended March 31, 2010. �The Company now expects earnings per share (EPS) from continuing operations for the first quarter of 2010 to be in the range of $0.32 to $0.35, increased from the previous estimate of $0.29 to $0.32 announced on March 31, 2010. �This compares to adjusted EPS from continuing operations of $0.22 for the first quarter of 2009. �Adjusted EPS from continuing operations for the first quarter of 2009 excludes the items detailed under "Non-GAAP Financial Measures" below. �GAAP EPS from continuing operations was $0.30 for the first quarter of 2009. �The Company's prior estimates for first quarter 2010 revenue, new vehicle unit sales and used vehicle unit sales are in line.
