Buzzanca, vice president, EHS and Engineering, will retire effective July 1, 2010. Buzzanca has led the company's environmental, health & safety and engineering organizations since 1998. He began his career with CF Industries in 1976 as a project engineer. "Frank's deep commitment to the well-being of our employees has been an important part of the company's safety culture since he became corporate director of EHS 21 years ago," commented Stephen R. Wilson, chairman and chief executive officer, CF Industries Holdings, Inc. “To a large extent, Frank was the architect of the company's current EHS and crisis management processes. We thank him for his many contributions over the years.” During Buzzanca's tenure as head of EHS and engineering, the company's safety performance has been among the best in the chemical industry. Later, his engineering organization opened the Hardee South Pasture Mine, a relocation and major expansion of the company's phosphate mining operation. Effective July 1, Richard Sanders, vice president, manufacturing integration, will assume Buzzanca's present responsibilities.
