(Business Wire) -- Acme Packet® (NASDAQ: APKT), the leader in session border control solutions, today announced that seventeen customers have deployed its Net-Net® session border controllers (SBCs) with SIPHON Networks Ltd., a leading European provider of solutions for the design, supply, delivery and integration of voice over IP (VoIP) and Unified Communications (UC) technology. The joint implementations stem from an existing resale and support agreement through which SIPHON Networks offers Acme Packet Net-Net SBCs as part of its solutions portfolio for cloud-based telephony service providers. The SBC solution serves local and regional service providers across Northern Europe where SIPHON Networks has a strong reputation as a leading systems integrator for hosted communications services. The companies have already implemented the joint SIPHON Networks and Acme Packet SBC solution for seventeen customers, including: O-bit Telecom – O-bit Telecom provides hosted unified communications, residential VoIP and session initiation protocol (SIP) trunking services that are fully managed or available for resale as a white label service through its subsidiary Purple Networx.
