Peyto Energy Trust Announces Closing of $143.8 Million Equity Offering08:37 EST Tuesday, November 30, 2010/Not for distribution to U.S. news wire services or dissemination in the United States/CALGARY, Nov. 30 /CNW/ - Peyto Energy Trust (the "Trust") (TSX: PEY.UN) is pleased to announce that it has closed its previously announced offering of 8,314,500 trust units on a bought deal basis (including 1,084,500 trust units issued pursuant to the exercise in full of the over-allotment option granted to the underwriters) at a price of $17.30 per trust unit, for total gross proceeds of approximately $143.8 million. The syndicate of underwriters was led by BMO Capital Markets and included CIBC World Markets Inc., Peters & Co. Limited, RBC Capital Markets, FirstEnergy Capital Corp., Stifel Nicolaus Canada Inc., Canaccord Genuity Corp., Haywood Securities Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc.Net proceeds from the offering will initially be used to partially repay outstanding bank debt, thereby freeing up borrowing capacity which may be used to fund a portion of the Trust's ongoing capital program and for general purposes.The securities offered have not been and will not be registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or applicable exemption from the registration requirements.
