Zebra Technologies Unveils New Additions to its 3-inch Receipt Printer Line-up09:00 EST Monday, January 10, 2011 NEW YORK (Business Wire) -- Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a global leader in specialty printing and automatic identification solutions, announces the release of its KR203™ Kiosk Receipt Printer this week at the NRF 100th Annual Convention and Expo. The KR203 utilizes Zebra's host-based printing technology, which takes full advantage of a PC's memory and processing power making it a highly cost-effective solution and Zebra's most affordable kiosk printer today. With the addition of the new KR203 to the Zebra 3-inch product line up, customers will have more choices to meet their specific printer requirements and budget, and more options for Zebra's Kiosk Print Station – an all-in-one kiosk solution. “The KR203 was developed to provide our customers with a competitive printer for the economy market segment,” said Michael Eneberg, Kiosk Product Manger. “This is a space where we have not been able to compete in with our current kiosk printers, which are more geared toward the premium market segment. The introduction of the KR203 will provide our customers an affordable kiosk printer, but still provide the reliability required in self-service applications.” The KR203 is designed to print receipts, and information from unattended self-service kiosks. The KR203 provides a cost-effective solution that includes many features available only on more expensive high-end printers - features such as Zebra's patented Looping Presenter, integrated cutter and pull detector, which help prevent paper jams. Its compact design makes it easy to integrate into space-restricted self-service applications. The KR203 also provides reduced intervention features that minimize the need for attention and upkeep. These important features include status monitoring alerts to ensure the kiosk is operational and serving customers. It also accommodates a large 10” roll of media reducing the number of roll changes and in return lowering the total cost of ownership. The KR203 is ideal for a number of applications in the retail and service industries, including: Receipt and coupon printing Deli/restaurant self-ordering Bill pay Hotel check-In ATM receipt printing Zebra will be demonstrating its new host-based printing solution at NRF Convention and Expo this week in booth #1521.
