As traffic grows, service providers want a simple way to add bandwidth and throughput as needed to keep users happy. That's why Tellabs is doubling the capacity and throughput of the Tellabs® SmartCore® 9100 series with the introduction of the IPP2 (Intelligent Packet Processor) card, which offers twice as much processing capacity, twice as much throughput and twice as much performance. The increased capacity will be available on WiMAX (ASN-GW), 3GPP (GGSN) and LTE (EPC).  In addition to the increased performance, the IPP2 retains all existing features of the IPP, including advanced granular QoS and advanced content intelligence.
