SkyWest, Inc., Reports Combined April 2011 Traffic for SkyWest Airlines, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, and ExpressJet Airlines.18:57 EDT Monday, May 09, 2011ST. GEORGE, Utah, May 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) ("SkyWest") reported a 51.0 percent increase in departures to 115,507 for April compared to 76,495 for the same period last year. Passenger boardings for April increased 46.7 percent to 4,543,391 compared to 3,097,439 for the same period last year.  SkyWest also reported a 54.0 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for April, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 56.6 percent compared to April 2010.  The combined airlines generated 2.35 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.0 billion. Load factor was 78.2 percent compared to 79.5 percent, down 1.3 percentage points compared to April 2010. The substantial increases for each of the items are due primarily to the acquisition of ExpressJet Airlines on November 12, 2010.About SkyWestSkyWest is the holding company for three scheduled passenger airline operations and an aircraft leasing company and is headquartered in St. George, Utah.
