BIOX CEO WILLIAM JOHNSON RESIGNS; COO KEVIN W. NORTON APPOINTED ACTING CEO07:00 EDT Tuesday, July 05, 2011TSX symbol: BXTORONTO, July 5, 2011 /CNW/ - BIOX Corporation (BIOX or the Company) (TSX: BX) a renewable energy company that designs, builds, owns and operates biodiesel production facilities, today announced that William Johnson has decided to resign as chief executive officer of the Company effective immediately to pursue other opportunities closer to his family in the United States.The Board of Directors has appointed chief operating officer Kevin W. Norton as acting chief executive officer.  Mr. Norton is a co-founder of BIOX who has served as the Company's COO since its inception.Mr. Johnson stated that "Though I am sad to be leaving, I have enjoyed my time as chief executive officer of BIOX and look forward to new challenges which will enable me to spend more time near my family."David Colcleugh, chairman of the Board of Directors, stated that "We appreciate Bill's contributions since he joined the Company earlier this year.  BIOX is fortunate to have a strong and deep management team led by Kevin both at the Hamilton plant and at our Oakville head office."  The Compensation and Corporate Governance Committee of the Board will oversee the process of identifying and selecting a new CEO.Kevin Norton stated that "BIOX is very well positioned.  Our Hamilton plant is in its fifth year of operation and we have continuously improved both our technology and processes.
