TORONTO, CANADA--(Marketwire - Sept. 1, 2011) - Inmet (TSX:IMN) reported today that our 100% owned Cobre Las Cruces mine in Spain produced 4,500 tonnes of copper cathode in the month of August, a 17% increase over the best monthly production achieved since start-up, and a 61% increase over July production of 2,789 tonnes. August production was at approximately 75% of design capacity, and we remain on track for this year's previously disclosed production guidance in the range of 42,000 to 45,000 tonnes and our objective to reach 100% design capacity by the end of this year.
Inmet is a Canadian-based global mining company that produces copper, zinc and pyrite. We have three wholly-owned mining operations: Çayeli (Turkey), Las Cruces (Spain) and Pyhäsalmi (Finland). We also have a 100 percent interest in Cobre Panama, a development property in Panama.
