Shopping CenterMANCHESTER, Conn., Sept. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lightstone Group, one of the largest private real estate owners in the country, announced today that it has signed an $8-million deal with Christmas Tree Shops, Inc. to remain the anchor tenant at Hale Road Plaza in Manchester, Conn., for an additional 12-plus years. Union, N.J.-based Bed, Bath & Beyond (NasdaqGS: BBBY), parent company to the discount variety store chain, has found this location to be one of its premier stores. Christmas Tree Shops sells seasonal items in addition to home and garden decor. The store occupies 58,000 square feet of space within the 112,000-square-foot center, located at 120 Hale Road. "We are extremely pleased that Christmas Tree Shops has made the decision to remain at Hale Road Plaza," said David Lichtenstein, chairman of The Lightstone Group. Hale Road Plaza is 91 percent occupied, with other tenants including, Guitar Center, The Dog House, and Namco. The center is located just north of Route 84, the major east-west connector for cities such as South Windsor and Manchester.
