Newcastle Announces Pricing of Public Offering of Common Stock19:16 EDT Wednesday, September 21, 2011 NEW YORK (Business Wire) -- Newcastle Investment Corp. (NYSE: NCT) (the “Company”) announced today that it priced its public offering of 22,500,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $4.55 per share for gross proceeds of approximately $102.4 million. In connection with the offering, the Company has granted the underwriters an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 3,375,000 shares of common stock. The offering is expected to close on September 27, 2011. The Company expects to use the net proceeds from this offering primarily to make investments in excess mortgage servicing fees, and it may also use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include the repurchase of indebtedness issued by its CDOs as well as investments in real estate securities and/or other real estate related assets. Citigroup, Barclays Capital, Morgan Stanley and UBS Investment Bank are the joint book-running managers for the offering. Macquarie Capital and Stifel Nicolaus Weisel are co-managers for the offering. The offering will be made pursuant to the Company's existing effective shelf registration statement, previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
