FDNY Kicks Off Fire Prevention Week with Matchbox® Smokey™ The Fire Truck to Help Teach Kids about Fire Safety08:10 EDT Wednesday, October 12, 2011 NEW YORK (Business Wire) -- On Tuesday, October 11, 2011, the FDNY teamed up with Matchbox® to kick-off Fire Prevention Week to help even the youngest children better understand the importance of fire safety with the new Smokey™ The Fire Truck. New York City Fire Commissioner Salvatore J.
