To celebrate, the airline is bringing two special guests: Las Vegas icons "Elvis" and a glamorous showgirl. The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, will offer fares as low as $79.99* one-way between the two cities. "Allegiant is pleased to now serve the Acadian community with the only nonstop service to Las Vegas," Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President, said. The new flights will operate twice weekly between Lafayette Regional Airport (LFT) and McCarran International Airport (LAS), with service Thursday and Sunday. Flights will depart Lafayette at 9:05 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 10:35 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 3:10 p.m. arriving in Lafayette at 8:25 p.m. (all flight times are local). The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route. With world-renowned resorts, spas, casinos and entertainment options for visitors of all ages, Las Vegas is one of the most dynamic travel destinations in the world. With an average of more than 37 million people visiting each year, the vast majority of these visitors come to experience the Las Vegas Strip.
