Appleton Takes Off for Fun in the Desert Sun13:00 EST Thursday, November 10, 2011APPLETON, Wis., Nov. 10, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Allegiant (Nasdaq:ALGT) today inaugurates low-cost, nonstop flights between Appleton, Wis., and Phoenix-Mesa, Ariz. The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, is offering fares as low as $99.99* one way between the cities. The carrier will also offer four adventurous travelers a chance to win free tickets to Phoenix-Mesa and a three-night hotel stay for showing up at the Outagamie County Regional Airport with their bags packed. The new flights will operate twice weekly between the Outagamie County Regional Airport (ATW) and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA) with service Thursday and Sunday. Flights will depart Appleton at 7:35 p.m. arriving in Phoenix-Mesa at 10:30 p.m. Flights leaving Phoenix-Mesa will depart at 2:35 p.m. arriving in Appleton at 6:50 p.m. (all flight times are local). The carrier will utilize a full-size, jet aircraft on the route. Allegiant began serving the Outagamie County Regional Airport in August of 2008 with flights to Las Vegas. Spontaneous travelers will line up at ATW with their bags packed, ready to win one of two trips for two on the inaugural flight. Allegiant will provide round trip tickets and ATW will provide two, three-night stays in Mesa, AZ at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Mesa. The lucky winners will depart on the inaugural flight and return on Sunday.
