BlackRock Names Jeffrey Rosenberg Chief Investment Strategist for Fixed Income10:33 EST Thursday, December 15, 2011 NEW YORK (Business Wire) -- BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE:BLK) today announced that Jeffrey Rosenberg has joined the Company as a Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist for Fixed Income. In this newly created position, Mr. Rosenberg will support the expansion of the firm's U.S. Retail Fixed Income business and will report to Robert Stanley, Head of Retail Fixed Income with BlackRock's Portfolio Management Group. Mr. Rosenberg will also work closely with Rick Rieder, Chief Investment Officer of Fundamental Fixed Income, in supporting fixed income offerings in the Americas region, a strategic priority for BlackRock. “Jeff brings to BlackRock a unique skill set of extensive investment experience that will help us develop our strategic and tactical views on sector allocations with fixed income, currencies and commodities,” said Mr. Rieder, who as of September 30, 2011, managed $620 billion in fixed income AUM. “His extensive communications experience will also be an asset in providing these views and portfolio guidance for the benefit of our clients.” “Jeff is an exceptionally talented individual with a distinctive mix of investment, analytical and communications prowess that will help us to further extend our world-class fixed income franchise,” said Mr. Stanley. Mr. Rosenberg joined BlackRock from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) where he was Head of Global Credit Strategy Research. In this role, his responsibilities included global macro credit strategy across corporate credit markets, coordination of US fixed income strategy across credit, ABS/RMBS/CMBS, interest rates, FX and commodities. He also formulated tactical and strategic risk-taking recommendations for external clients and internal trading desks. Prior to joining BAML in 2002, Mr. Rosenberg was director of U.S. investment-grade strategy for Credit Suisse Group AG.
