Pulse Seismic Inc. Announces the Passing of Donald T. West, Director

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 11, 2012) - It is with deep sorrow that Pulse Seismic Inc. (TSX:PSD) ("Pulse" or the "Company") announces the sudden passing of its Director, Donald T. West on April 7, 2012. Mr. West had served on the Company's Board of Directors since June, 2000 and was a member of the Compensation Committee, Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and Chair of the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee.
Mr. West was a successful businessman with over 40 years of experience in the Canadian and international oil and gas industry. He began his career as a Geophysicist with Mobil Oil Canada in 1960 before becoming Chief Geophysicist at each of Great Plains Development in 1973 and Pacific Petroleum in 1975. Mr. West furthered his career at Total Petroleum N.A. in 1979 where he held various positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President Exploration and Senior Vice President, and ultimately held the position of President and CEO of Total Petroleum Canada and its successor Rigel Energy Corporation until his retirement in 1999.
Mr. West earned a B.Sc in Geology and Physics from the University of British Columbia and was a member of the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
