CityTarget Coming to Beverly Connection12:02 EDT Wednesday, May 02, 2012 MINNEAPOLIS (Business Wire) -- Target announced today that it will open a CityTarget store at the Beverly Connection in Los Angeles, Calif. in March 2013. The 99,000 square-foot store will be located on the second floor of the shopping complex at the corner of La Cienega and Beverly Blvd. The Beverly Connection location is the third CityTarget store planned for the City of Los Angeles. Target previously announced that it would open two small-format urban stores in the Westwood Market Place in Westwood, Calif. in July 2012 and at Figueroa and 7th in downtown Los Angeles in October 2012. CityTarget will offer commuters, tourists and urban dwellers the convenience of one-stop shopping with urban living essentials, on-trend fashions and exclusive designer collections. The Beverly Connection store will create approximately 200 local jobs and will provide a convenient one-stop shopping option for this busy central Los Angeles area. Target currently operates 58 stores in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. “We are thrilled to have more CityTarget locations here in Los Angeles than anywhere in the country,” said Cary Strouse, senior vice president of stores, western region. “Our third location at the Beverly Connection will provide Angelenos with high quality merchandise at a great value in this busy retail area.” In addition to the three Los Angeles CityTarget stores, Target will open a total of four additional small-format stores in the next two years with locations in Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco opening in 2012 and in Portland in 2013.
