National Theatre Live's One Man, Two Guvnors Garners 7 Tony Award Nominations and Returns to Cinemas for Encore Presentations With Frankenstein at Participating Cineplex Theatres14:24 EDT Wednesday, May 02, 2012TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 2, 2012) - Back by popular demand, Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX), via our Front Row Centre Events, the National Theatre London and BY Experience are pleased to announce One Man, Two Guvnors and Frankenstein can once again be seen at participating Cineplex theatres. One Man, Two Guvnors will be presented on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. local time. Frankenstein will be shown on Thursday, June 14 and 21 at 6:45 p.m. local time, (Galaxy Cinemas Chatham will start at 8:00 p.m.) and Saturday, June 16 and 23 at 12:30 p.m. local time."We are delighted to provide our guests a second opportunity to enjoy two National Theatre productions that were extremely popular with our guests, selling out when they were first offered in our theatres," said Pat Marshall, Vice President, Communications and Investor Relations, Cineplex Entertainment. "One Man, Two Guvnors, now enjoying a Tony-Award nominated run on Broadway, and Oscar-winner Danny Boyle's production of Frankenstein, both sold-out during their original presentations in our theatres".One Man, Two GuvnorsThe comedy sensation One Man, Two Guvnors, winner of the Evening Standard Award and the Critics' Circle Award stars breakout comic actor James Corden (The History Boys, BBC's "Gavin & Stacey") as Francis Henshall ("One Man"). Always famished and easily confused, Henshall agrees to work for a local gangster as well as a criminal in hiding ("Two Guvnors"), both of whom are linked in a web of schemes, extortions and romantic associations... none of which Francis can keep straight. He then has to do everything in his power to keep his two guvnors from meeting, while trying to eat anything in sight along the way.Falling trousers, flying fish heads, star-crossed lovers, cross-dressing mobsters and a fabulous on-stage band are just some of what awaits at the most "deliriously funny" (Daily Telegraph) play to cross the pond in decades. Directed by Tony® and Olivier Award winner Nicholas Hytner, Richard Bean's side-splitting comedy has a return engagement, while its hugely popular runs continue in London's West End and on Broadway.FrankensteinOscar winner Danny Boyle (127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire) returned to the theatre to direct this visionary new production, Frankenstein by Nick Dear, based on the novel by Mary Shelley. Back by popular demand, National Theatre Live will broadcast two separate performances of the production. Throughout the run of Frankenstein at the National Theatre, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller alternated the roles of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature, jointly winning the Evening Standard and Olivier Awards for Best Actor. Audiences will have the chance to see both combinations, with two broadcasts a week apart. Frankenstein with Benedict Cumberbatch as the Creature will be shown on Thursday, June 14 and Saturday, June 16. The Thursday, June 21 and Saturday, June 23 presentations of Frankenstein feature Jonny Lee Miller as the Creature.Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein's bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the friendless Creature, increasingly desperate and vengeful, determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal.Advance tickets are now available at participating theatre box offices and online at www.cineplex.com/events or our mobile site m.cineplex.com.National Theatre Live program are distributed ex-U.K. by US-based alternative content distributor BY Experience www.byexperience.net.The National Theatre encore presentations will be offered at the following theatres: BRITISH COLUMBIA BurnabySilverCity Metropolis Cinemas, 4700 Kingsway AvenueCoquitlamSilverCity Coquitlam and VIP Cinemas, 170 Schoolhouse StreetKamloopsCineplex Odeon Aberdeen Mall Cinemas, 700-1320 Trans Canada HighwayLangleyColossus Langley Cinemas, 20090 91A AvenueNanaimoGalaxy Cinemas Nanaimo, 213-4750 Rutherford RoadRichmondSilverCity Riverport Cinemas, 14211 Entertainment WayVancouverScotiabank Theatre Vancouver, 900 Burrard StreetVictoriaCineplex Odeon Victoria Cinemas, 780 Yates AvenueSilverCity Victoria Cinemas, 3130 Tillicum Road ALBERTA CalgaryScotiabank Theatre Chinook, 6455 Macleod Trail SWEdmontonCineplex Odeon South Edmonton Cinemas, 1525-99th Street NW MANITOBA WinnipegSilverCity Polo Park Cinemas, 817 St. James Street SASKATCHEWAN ReginaGalaxy Cinemas Regina, 420 McCarthy Boulevard NSaskatoonGalaxy Cinemas Saskatoon, 347 2nd Avenue ONTARIO AncasterSilverCity Ancaster Cinemas, 771 Golf Links RoadBurlingtonSilverCity Burlington Cinemas, 1250 Brant StreetChathamGalaxy Cinemas Chatham, 760 St Clair StreetKingstonCineplex Odeon Gardiners Road Cinemas, 626 Gardiners RoadLondonSilverCity London Cinemas, 1680 Richmond StreetMississaugaColiseum Mississauga Cinemas, 309 Rathburn Road WNiagara FallsCineplex Odeon Niagara Square Cinemas, 7555 Montrose RoadOakvilleSilverCity Oakville and VIP Cinemas, 3531 Wyecroft RoadOrangevilleGalaxy Cinemas Orangeville, 85 Fifth AvenueOshawaCineplex Odeon Oshawa Cinemas, 1351 Grandview Street NOttawaCineplex Odeon South Keys Cinemas, 2214 Bank StreetColiseum Ottawa Cinemas, 3090 Carling AvenueSilverCity Gloucester Cinemas, 2385 City Park DrivePeterboroughGalaxy Cinemas Peterborough, 320 Water StreetRichmond HillSilverCity Richmond Hill Cinemas, 8725 Yonge StreetTorontoCineplex Odeon Queensway Cinemas, 1025 The QueenswayCineplex Odeon Sheppard Cinemas, 4861 Yonge Street Coliseum Scarborough Cinemas, 300 Borough DriveScotiabank Theatre Toronto, 259 Richmond Street WSilverCity Yonge-Eglinton Cinemas, 2300 Yonge StreetWaterlooGalaxy Cinemas Waterloo, 550 King Street NWindsorCineplex Odeon Devonshire Mall Cinemas, 3100 Howard Avenue QUEBEC KirklandColiseum Kirkland Cinemas, 3200 rue Jean YvesMontrealCineplex Odeon Cavendish Mall Cinemas, 5800 boul.
