Alpha Natural Resources Reports Results Of 2012 Annual Meeting of Stockholders16:25 EDT Thursday, May 17, 2012BRISTOL, Va., May 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:ANR), a leading U.S. coal producer, announced the election of nine members to its board of directors at the company's annual meeting of stockholders held in Abingdon, Va. today.  Elected directors include Kevin S. Crutchfield, chief executive officer of Alpha; William J. Crowley Jr.; E. Linn Draper, Jr.; Glenn A. Eisenberg; Deborah M. Fretz; P. Michael Giftos; Joel Richards, III; James F. Roberts; and Ted G. Wood.  Biographies for all directors can be found in the Proxy Statement or on the company's Web site at www.alphanr.com.  Each of these directors will serve a one-year term.Effective following the annual meeting of stockholders Kevin S. Crutchfield became the company's chairman of the board.  Michael J.
