(NYSE:GIB)(TSX:GIB.A), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, today announced that the City of San Diego, CA has selected CGI to serve as the provider of application development and maintenance services for the City's 165+ applications spanning 18 departments. The contract is valued at US$91.5 million, which includes an initial five-year base period and a two-year renewal extension.CGI's locally-based delivery experts will assume full responsibility for day-to-day development and maintenance of the city's diverse application portfolio, allowing the City's core staff to focus on priority citizen-facing services.. CGI experts will bring service level agreements and IT governance processes to drive performance and efficiency improvements.
