(TSX: DHX), a leading independent international producer, distributor and licensor of mainly children's entertainment content is pleased to announce that it has signed up a broadcaster and licensing agent to establish its popular preschool series Animal Mechanicals in Spain, as it seeks to expand the licensing programmes for its library of internationally distributed TV properties.TVE has come on board as broadcast partner for Animal Mechanicals in the territory, with DHX Media appointing Enjoy S.L headed by CEO Ruben Gil, as licensing agent for Spain and Portugal. The hit preschool series, which is one of the top-rating shows on commissioning channel CBC in Canada, will launch on 28th June airing Monday to Friday with repeats, and the broadcast launch will be supported by extended profile in Clan Magazine.Local sub-licensing agent Enjoy will be seeking partners across all licensing categories for Animal Mechanicals and implementing local licensing strategies.Michael Donovan, chairman and CEO of DHX Media said; "This Spanish deal for our Animal Mechanicals preschool series highlights the strength our international licensing team brings to our back catalogue of globally appealing brands."Currently in its third season, Animal Mechanicals airs on Kids CBC in Canada and in the US on The Hub. Their missions always take them to a new floating island that is like a fantastic theme park, with unique landscapes and features. Here, the Animal Mechanicals encounter fun and fantastic challenges.
