ARMOUR Residential REIT, Inc. Announces Public Offering of Series A Preferred Stock06:40 EDT Thursday, May 31, 2012VERO BEACH, Fla., May 31, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ARMOUR Residential REIT, Inc. (NYSE:ARR) (NYSE Amex:ARR.WS) ("ARMOUR" or the "Company") announced today that it is commencing an underwritten public offering of its Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock. ARMOUR expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional shares to cover overallotments, if any. The Company has applied to list the Series A Preferred Stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "ARR PrA." Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Merrill Lynch, Pierce Fenner & Smith Incorporated are acting as joint book-running managers of the offering. Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC are acting as co-managers and Ladenburg Thalmann & Co.
