Friday, June 01, 2012
DENVER (Business Wire) -- Frontier Airlines' expanded Madison, Wis. (MSN) service takes to the skies with the launch of year-round nonstop service to/from Orlando International Airport (MCO) on June 3 and daily nonstop service to/from Washington, D.C. Reagan (DCA) on June 7. The Orlando service moves from seasonal to year-round and includes an aircraft upgrade from a 99-seat Embraer 190 to a 138-seat Airbus 319. The D.C. service increases from three times weekly to daily with a significantly improved flight schedule.
The airline known for its low fares and customer-friendly service now offers three nonstop routes from Madison, as well as connections throughout the western United States via daily service to its Denver hub. Frontier provides the only nonstop service from Madison to both Orlando and Washington, D.C.
“The Madison community is doing a great job of supporting Frontier, so we're happy to keep adding nonstop service – now daily to both Washington, D.C. and Denver and year-round to Orlando,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier's senior vice president, Commercial. “We're looking forward to seeing even more residents of the Madison area taking advantage of the great travel values offered at FrontierAirlines.com.”
Added Dane County Executive Joe Parisi, “Frontier's continued commitment to south-central Wisconsin has a significant economic impact on the Dane County region. Having a low-cost carrier based in Madison, providing nonstop flights to more destinations, helps to make Dane County a world-class destination to live, work and play.”
“We are extremely pleased that Frontier has decided to add additional flight options for our customers traveling to and from Madison,” said Airport Director Bradley Livingston, AAE. “As south-central Wisconsin residents continue to choose our airport, we will continue to be able to add additional nonstop flight options.”
