Intermap Announces $517,000 Mapping Services Task Order06:25 EDT Wednesday, June 27, 2012DENVER, June 27, 2012 /CNW/ - Intermap Technologies (TSX:IMP.TO), a leading provider of location-based information (LBI) solutions created from its uniform, high-resolution 3D digital models and orthorectified imagery of the Earth's surface, today announced that the Company was awarded a US$517,000 task order from Dewberry & Davis for the second phase expansion of its previously announced airborne radar mapping services project in Alaska. Additional contract funding for this project may occur at future dates.Intermap is using its proprietary Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR) technology to collect orthorectified radar imagery and high resolution elevation data for an area of Alaska that has never been mapped to this level of accuracy.
