Thursday, July 05, 2012
TORONTO (Business Wire) -- Postmedia Network, Canada's largest publisher of paid English language daily newspapers and Workopolis, Canada's largest and most trafficked job board, today announced that the career channels for all 10 Postmedia daily newspaper websites will be powered by Workopolis. The co-branded career channels are scheduled to launch in the fall.
“We are excited to be working with the largest and most popular job board to provide the latest opportunities and career-related content to our audiences,” said Paul Godfrey, President and CEO, Postmedia. “Bringing together all of our great brands combined with our exceptional reach of more than five million monthly unique visitors will enhance the online experience for our audience and deliver great results for Canada's employers.”
The agreement will provide Postmedia customers with leading digital recruiting solutions that give them access to the 1.6 million Canadians who visit Workopolis monthly to perform over 11 million job searches. Canadian employers will benefit from the combined strength of two national brands with strong local and regional sales and service presence right across the country.
“Joining forces with Postmedia is a win-win for both companies and for Canadians,” said Kelly Dixon, President, Workopolis. “The new Postmedia/Workopolis career channels will make it even easier for Canadians to find up-to-the minute job opportunities by adding over 30,000 new jobs from Workopolis to the newspaper sites that they visit daily.”
