Dollar General is now offering the industry-leading Western Union® MoneyWise™ and co-branded Western Union® Telemundo cards. “Dollar General is proud to broaden our merchandise assortment with the addition of Western Union prepaid cards,” said Todd Vasos, Dollar General's EVP, division president and chief merchandising officer. “Prepaid cards are growing in popularity as a useful money-management tool, and we're happy to offer them in our stores as an added convenience for our customers.” “The Western Union Telemundo card has been very successful among Hispanic consumers,” said Tim Sloane, director, Prepaid Advisory Service, Mercator. “The card combines two brands Hispanics trust: Western Union for financial services and Telemundo for information. Western Union seems to have found the recipe for success in the Hispanic market.” The cards offer consumers flexible and convenient options for loading funds, including Western Union Money Transfer® transactions. Consumers will be able to reload money onto their cards in person at participating Dollar General locations and at more than 45,000 other retail locations in the United States, including participating Western Union Agent locations.
