Webtech Wireless Accelerates Fleet Management with Latest Quadrant Offering06:00 EDT Wednesday, August 01, 2012VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 1, 2012) -Webtech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, today announces the global availability of Quadrant Manager 9.6. The new release is available across all Webtech Wireless online portals providing all supported Quadrant customers with immediate access to new capabilities.Scott Edmonds, President and CEO of Webtech Wireless said, "Version 9.6 of Quadrant Manager - our award-winning GPS/AVL and telematics software solution - is based on feedback from our tens of thousands of subscribers. While this version meets specific needs for temperature monitoring in trucks and trailers, we have also focused Quadrant Manager 9.6 on high-value enhancements that will accelerate fleet management for all our customers creating our vision of Fleet Intelligence Anywhere™."This release of Quadrant Manager presents customers with new temperature geofences, enhanced security, browser support for the increasingly popular Google Chrome, and streamlined reporting enhancements. With the exception of temperature management by geofence and the new landmark API, all features have been automatically enabled for all customers. The new temperature geofences are being deployed specifically for our customers in the food chain management sector (as well as niche markets that involve the transport of live animals). Fleet managers who need information quickly will benefit from these enhanced temperature features, because they provide an accelerated ability to read alerts and capture data overviews "at a glance". For alerts, fleet managers can choose between single and continuous alerts depending on their needs. Managers can also quicken their access to fleet data with real-time information overviews, both before running a report and in a summary at the top of the report itself. New temperature geofences are also providing flexibility for monitoring temperatures when trucks are delivering and picking up during the day and when they're in the yard at night. It is common to have storage yards with electrical plug-ins for trucks and trailers, and this release helps our customers who require different temperature thresholds, alerts, and monitoring based on whether the truck or trailer is in the yard or out.
