StubHub's Ticket Oak Introduces Industry-First Rewards Program08:00 EDT Thursday, August 16, 2012
SAN FRANCISCO (Business Wire) -- StubHub,
the world's largest ticket marketplace, announced the launch of its
comprehensive loyalty rewards program, StubHub
Fan Rewards. The free program, which is the first of its kind in the
ticketing industry, offers rewards for eligible purchases plus the
opportunity for unique fan experiences and complimentary seat upgrades.

Fans across the country can sign up for StubHub Fan Rewards online and
start earning rewards on their next purchase. Similar to rewards
programs in the travel industry, StubHub Fan Rewards offers perks and
benefits to frequent users of StubHub.com. The program is the result of
customer feedback from the company's most frequent users and StubHub's
continued commitment to rewarding brand loyalty.
To commemorate the launch of the new program, StubHub hosted a free
interactive spectacle yesterday featuring the Ticket
Oak, the increasingly popular star of the company's commercials and
advertisements. The 25-foot tall animatronic talking tree was center
stage at The Grove, a popular outdoor shopping mall in Los Angeles, as
he posed for pictures and gave away thousands of tickets and prizes to
fans that signed up for StubHub Fan Rewards. This was the first time the
Ticket Oak has made a live appearance, which comes on the heels of the
launch of StubHub's newest commercial, “Late
Night Ticket Oak.” Families who stopped by also had the chance to
support charity, as StubHub made a $5 donation for each child that
colored mini Ticket Oak leaves during the event to Inner-City
Arts, an LA-based organization that provides arts education to
students.
“As we continue to relentlessly focus on the fan experience and customer
service, we are really excited to offer the ticketing industry's first
loyalty rewards program,” said Ray Elias, Chief Marketing Officer of
StubHub. “As the program evolves based on feedback from our customers,
we intend to bring unprecedented benefits to fans. We believe fans
should have choice in where they buy their tickets, and we want to
continue to earn their loyalty.”
The program features two distinct levels: Star and Superstar. Everyone
who joins is automatically enrolled into the Star level, where they will
earn 2 percent in rewards for each eligible purchase. Once members reach
$10 in rewards, they become eligible for a $10 FanCode to use on any
future StubHub.com purchase. Those who make 10 purchases or spend $2,000
on StubHub.com in a calendar year become eligible for Superstar level,
where they will earn 3 percent in rewards on all purchases and become
eligible for complimentary seat upgrades and priority invitations to
StubHub loyalty events.
