AECOM to expand presence in Africa07:00 EDT Friday, August 24, 2012 LOS ANGELES (Business Wire) -- AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for public and private clients in more than 130 countries around the world, announced today that South Africa-based BKS has agreed to join the company. “This acquisition strengthens our position in a strategically important, high-growth market. In addition, BKS is well situated to help us further penetrate the growing commercial and industrial sectors and better service our multinational clients as they continue to expand into this region,” said AECOM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John M. Dionisio. “BKS's breadth of services increases our existing in-region capabilities, and we look forward to welcoming these new employees to AECOM.” With approximately 900 employees, BKS is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering and management firm with headquarters in South Africa and operations across Africa. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the approval of the Competition Commission of South Africa, and is expected to close during the fourth calendar quarter of 2012.
