(the “Company”) (NasdaqGS:WFD), the holding company for Westfield Bank (the “Bank”), announced today that its Board of Directors has authorized a stock repurchase program (“Repurchase Program”) under which the Company may repurchase up to 1,278,560 shares, or 5% of its outstanding common stock. The Company completed its previous stock repurchase program of 1,333,496 shares of its common stock on August 24, 2012. About Westfield Financial, Inc.
