Aetna and WellStar Health System Reach New Contract Agreement18:19 EDT Thursday, August 30, 2012 ATLANTA (Business Wire) -- Aetna (NYSE: AET) and WellStar Health System of Marietta, Ga. announced today that they have reached agreement on a multiyear contract extension. Under the agreement, members of Aetna's commercial plans will be able to continue to receive covered services, at in-network rates, from WellStar's hospitals and physicians in the greater Atlanta area. “Aetna is very happy to reach an agreement with WellStar,” said Cary Goldenthal, Aetna's vice president of network development for Georgia. “WellStar is one of the nation's leading integrated health systems and we've enjoyed a long, positive relationship.
