(Business Wire) -- Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM), the information management company, has ranked 168 on this year's InformationWeek 500, an annual list of the nation's most innovative users of business technology. The process included reconfiguring IP addresses for more than 3,500 network-connected devices (from smartphones to printers); building a Wide Area Network (WAN) to connect Latin America to the global network; adding employees – for the first time – to the corporate active directory and Exchange mail systems; and implementing web-based and voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications for communication. Once completed, the network proved to be an ideal platform for Citi Brazil, one of Iron Mountain's largest customers in the region, to launch a new point-of-sale credit card that consumers could sign up for when making purchases at one of Citi's major retail partners.
