WHAT:	On October 2, 2012 - GE Digital Energy will open the doors to its Grid IQ™ Innovation Centre - a $40 million, 200,000 square foot facility that will be used to drive research, development and manufacturing of grid modernization technologies and facilitate global collaboration.
	GE's Grid IQ Innovation Centre will drive research and development, create new innovation-related jobs (including expanded manufacturing), and facilitate global collaboration in substation and distribution automation, electrical system protection and control, microgrid control and cyber security.
