Allegiant Announces Formation of Allegiant Systems05:00 EDT Monday, October 01, 2012LAS VEGAS, Oct. 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Allegiant (Nasdaq:ALGT) announced today the formation of Allegiant Systems, a joint venture with AvIntel and Lixar IT, in a move to continue its market-leading position within airline automation. Allegiant Systems, or "G4 Systems", is organized to provide a wide variety of mobile technology services to the commercial aviation industry. Allegiant System's will initially provide Allegiant Air and other airlines with Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) solutions. The cloud-based model will provide software which assists airline operations in a number of areas, including Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), In-Flight operations including Buy-on-Board, and cabin crew automation.
