The comments of the public fall into a number of categories, the notable ones being with respect to risk identification and mitigation of normal mining related environmental issues.EMED is pleased to note that of the 20 submissions received from the public, 12 were positive recommendations from local municipalities and stakeholders in favor of the project and that for the 8 remaining comments our responses can be supported by reference to reports which are already on hand and which have been prepared in close collaboration with leading specialists within Spain and internationally.Harry Anagnostaras-Adams, Managing Director and CEO, said: "We are delighted to have received such positive support as we continue to progress towards the reopening of the Rio Tinto Mine.
