(NYSE: KAR), today announced the redesign of its online bidding tool I-Bid LiveSM and increased functionality to its IAA Buyer app. The newly formatted I-Bid Live tool features a streamlined user interface that enhances the speed of accessing vehicle information, in addition to increased vehicle photo viewing options and expanded pre-bid details. IAA Buyer, the industry's first buyer app, includes a new bar code scanning feature that allows immediate access to vehicle details all through a smart phone camera. Buyers also can now view pre-bid details including dollar amounts and their own maximum bids. Additional features provide buyers the ability to place, change or cancel maximum bids prior to a vehicle being sold, and to at a glance distinguish between sold vehicles and those awaiting sale during the live auction. The new I-Bid Live interface was designed to be mobile compatible. Buyers can get the new I-Bid Live interface by logging on at IAAI.com, going to the Auctions tab, and clicking the “New Version Available” button on the screen. The new bar code scanning feature available through the IAA Buyer app allows buyers to quickly scan the bar code of an IAA vehicle inventory sticker and instantly have access to all the vehicle details right from their smart phone. This feature, the first in the salvage auto industry, eliminates the need to key in a stock number or search through inventory, and streamlines the shopping and bidding process for buyers.
