Representatives at select stores will be on-hand to show pictures of their special four-legged friends, answer questions and provide further information for shoppers who are considering adoption and helping to reverse this trend. “By working with Cub Foods we are able to reach a broader group of people who might find our information new as they come in to shop for their groceries,” says Sheila Stephens, director of B.A.R.K (Being Advocates for Rescued K9's) animal shelter in St. Paul. “A majority of people who shop at specialty pet stores may not be looking to adopt or are already aware of the pet overpopulation problem we are facing.” Anyone who adopts a dog, cat, puppy or kitten during the IH4TH campaign (October 1, 2012 – January 2, 2013) can register for Iams Lifelong Rewards via amobile sign-up.
