Johnson Controls Increases Dividend 5.5%09:38 EST Wednesday, November 14, 2012MILWAUKEE, Nov. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI), a global diversified company in the buildings and automotive industries, today approved a 5.5% increase in the company's quarterly cash dividend, to $0.19 per common share from $0.18 per common share. The dividend is payable December 28, 2012 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 7, 2012.The new indicated annual dividend is $0.76 per share, up from $0.72 per share.The company noted that due to potential tax law changes, the traditional January dividend payable date was changed to December for this year only."The increase in our dividend is a reflection of our commitment to providing value to our shareholders, our financial performance and the continued growth of our company," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stephen A.
