Poseidon Concepts Corp. ("Poseidon" or the "Company") (TSX:PSN) is pleased to announce that Mr. Scott Dawson, the Chairman of the Board of Directors has been appointed Executive Chairman of the Company. In conjunction with his appointment, the Board of Directors has established a clear mandate for Mr. Dawson, pursuant to which he will work with the Company's management team to continue developing and improving Poseidon's operations and business processes and to help guide its strategic direction going forward. Mr. Dawson will act as a liaison between the Board of Directors and management and will be actively involved with the Company's management in overseeing all aspects of the Company's business.
Mr. Dawson is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in the North American oil and gas industry. He has successfully led several publicly traded oil and gas exploration and development companies, most recently as President and CEO of Open Range Energy Corp., which was sold to Peyto Exploration & Development Corp. in August 2012. Prior to that, Mr. Dawson was the President and CEO of the Company until its corporate reorganization into two separate publicly traded companies in November 2011, remaining as the President and CEO of the exploration and production company and assuming the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Poseidon.
