Ott to Its Board of Directors16:30 EST Wednesday, December 12, 2012CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 12, 2012) - Dennis Flanagan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canexus Corporation (TSX:CUS) (the "Corporation" or "Canexus") is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard A. Ott to its Board of Directors on December 12, 2012. Mr. Ott is a retired chemical industry executive with 36 years of experience in the industrial and specialty chemical businesses, both regionally and internationally. He retired from Kraton Performance Polymers Inc. in May of 2012, where he held positions as Vice President of Human Resources and Information Technology, and Vice President of Operations. Mr. Ott served during the carveout of the Elastomers business from Shell Chemical Company in 2001, private equity ownership, and the subsequent IPO of the company in December 2009. Kraton operates as a global specialty chemical business operating in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia and its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange. Previously, he held various managerial positions at Shell Chemical Company, including manufacturing and supply chain, organizational development, sales, and strategic planning. Mr. Ott received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University in 1976.
