09:04 EDT Wednesday, April 03, 2013

MONTREAL, April 3, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC) is pleased to announce that Alain-Pierre Raynaud will become its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Office of the President effective June 1, 2013, and will be based at the Company's Head Office in Montreal.

Mr. Raynaud is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris and holds a doctorate in Economics. He has spent 32 years in the energy, automotive and banking sectors, gaining considerable international experience with major global corporations specializing in project management in Europe and Asia.

Mr. Raynaud began his career as a financial analyst before moving to Renault in 1987, where he later became Senior Vice-President and Corporate Controller. In 2003, he moved to Japan as a member of Nissan's Executive Committee to oversee the group's Cost Control and IT services departments and lead its financial operations. Between 2006 and 2011, Mr. Raynaud was CFO of Areva, where he successfully oversaw the implementation of the company's change management program, which included organizational restructuring, supply chain optimization and a new investment plan. He was subsequently named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Areva UK.

Mr. Raynaud follows Gilles Laramée as SNC-Lavalin's CFO. Mr. Laramée now continues exclusively in the role of Executive Vice-President for the Company's Infrastructure, Concessions and Investments business unit. He will provide assistance to Mr. Raynaud as required to ensure a smooth transition over the coming months.

"We are very pleased to welcome a CFO of Alain-Pierre's calibre to SNC-Lavalin," said Robert G. Card, President and CEO of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. "His extensive global expertise in finance across a range of industrial and resource sectors, and with companies that have similar project scope, makes him an ideal candidate for us."

SNC-Lavalin is one of the leading engineering and construction groups in the world and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure, and in the provision of operations and maintenance services. Founded in 1911, SNC-Lavalin has offices across Canada and in over 40 other countries around the world, and is currently working in some 100 countries.  www.snclavalin.com
