Superior Plus Announces April 2013 Cash Dividend and Upcoming Events

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - April 4, 2013) -

April 2013 Cash Dividend - $0.05 per share

Superior Plus Corp. ("Superior") (TSX:SPB) today announced its cash dividend for the month of April 2013 of $0.05 per share payable on May 15, 2013. The record date is April 30, 2013 and the ex-dividend date will be April 26, 2013. Superior's annualized cash dividend rate is currently $0.60 per share. This dividend is an eligible dividend for Canadian income tax purposes.

Dividend Reinvestment and Optional Share Purchase Program (The "DRIP")

As previously disclosed on March 7, 2013, Superior will stop the active operation of its DRIP program effective after payment of the March dividend. The DRIP will be available for the March dividend payable on April 15, 2013, but will no longer be available for future monthly cash dividends until further notice. Superior's DRIP program will remain in place should Superior want to reactivate the DRIP, subject to regulatory approval, at a future date.

Annual Meeting of Shareholders

Superior's Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held in the Grand Lecture Theatre of the Metropolitan Centre, 333 - 4 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. MDT. A live audio webcast of the meeting, including a corporate presentation will be accessible from Superior's website at under the webcasts section.

Upcoming Release of 2013 First Quarter Results and Conference Call

The Corporation expects to release its 2013 first quarter results on Thursday, May 2, 2013. A conference call and webcast for investors, analysts, brokers and media representatives to discuss the 2013 first quarter results is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. MDT on Thursday, May 2, 2013.
