Public Advisory: ATCO Warns Public of Email Scam

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - April 17, 2013) - ATCO has been made aware of an email scam using the name ATCO Group. Individuals have received fraudulent emails with the subject line "Receipt for your payment to ATCO Group," offering the recipient the option to cancel a $110 USD payment in an attempt to obtain personal or banking information. Please be advised that these emails did not originate with ATCO and are a fraudulent attempt to steal personal information for financial gain.

ATCO does not solicit personal or financial information through email for the purpose of facilitating payment.

If you receive one of these emails do not click on the link. Instead, please contact the anti-fraud authorities in your country: Canada -; U.S.- . If you received one of the emails and did click on the link, please also notify your banking institution and, if appropriate, your credit card company.
