BOISE, Idaho (Business Wire) -- After a nationwide search for the everyday office worker who selflessly goes above and beyond his/her official duties to rescue coworkers from computer problems, proudly bestows Adam Hayworth of Denver, Colorado with the title of America's first Official Unofficial Office Computer Go-To Superstar.

Nominated by his coworkers at the nonprofit Senior Housing, the 28-year-old Director of Compliance not only receives the prestigious Official Unofficial Office Computer Go-To Superstar title, but is also awarded $5,000 in cash for his tireless efforts in the battle against rebellious computer technology. In addition, as an award for nominating the winning office computer superhero, presented a $5,000 gift certificate to Senior Housing Options for use towards an office-wide technology upgrade.

“When the call AAAAADDDDAAAAMMMM! goes out, he is always right there to help and is patient beyond belief,” said Jane Prancan, the coworker at Senior Housing Options that officially nominated Adam. “We know he shakes his head and does a big eye roll, but he never makes us feel inadequate or stupid. He fixes our computer problems when we are near tears. He can do just about everything a real IT person would do, and he does it all in addition to his real job as director of compliance.”

Saluting the unsung everyday office heroes who continually defy the bounds of their normal job duties and rescue their colleagues from office computer chaos, Adam's nomination was reviewed and deemed by a team of judges at as the most compelling of all the entries received at the contest's official website,

“I am honored to accept the title of Official Unofficial Office Computer Go-To Superstar on behalf of Senior Housing Options and unsung office heroes everywhere,” said Adam Hayworth. “I was humbled to be nominated and accepted. It is a pleasure to be able to support my colleagues with their daily tech needs.”

“Today should be a day to not only honor Adam, but to say thank you to all of those office heroes out there who regardless of their official duties, are the go-to person when colleagues are plagued by office computer problems,” said Roddy Mclean, director of marketing.

The winners announcement comes on the heels of a recent survey by that revealed a majority of office workers with computers (53%) opt to either fix their own computer problems or ask a co-worker/someone else for help instead of relying on an IT professional/helpdesk. The survey also found that 29% of office computer users blame computer problems (lost files, slowness, crashes, etc.) as the top reason for reduced productivity in the office.
