Introducing Banana Republic Wildblue Noir

08:07 EDT Friday, May 03, 2013

NEW YORK, May 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Banana Republic is proud to announce Wildblue Noir ? an extension of the Wildblue fragrance collection that offers a deeply masculine and sensual night time experience for the modern dressed up man.  Inspired by the darker side of an ocean wave, Wildblue Noir offers a crisp note on top with a slightly edgier feel blended underneath.  The fragrance launches in Banana Republic stores worldwide this fall.

Wildblue Noir pays tribute to the charismatic man, whose sense of adventure and polish unwittingly captivate his audience. He enjoys dressing up for an evening out on the town and meeting new people.  He is bold and engaging, exuding confidence and charm with every move.

Developed by renowned perfumer Jean-Claude Delville of Drom, the evening-inspired fragrance is rooted in deeper color palettes honoring the masculinity of the determined modern man.  Delville continues his work with Banana Republic following his successful launches with the brand of Wildblue, Wildbloom, Classic, M and W scents.

Wildblue Noir embodies seduction conveyed through radiant, woodsy sophistication, while shades of aquatic brilliance and herbs are offset by prominent spices for a distinct contrast. Finally, the nobility of musk is seduced by suede, creating an unexpected trail of elegance and mystery.

"The captivating forces of the ocean waves crashing down under the evening sky inspired the feeling behind Wildblue Noir," says Banana Republic Creative Director & Executive Vice President, Simon Kneen. "This scent is for the confident man, dressed and ready to head out into the night."

Wildblue Noir is packaged in a modern oval bottle with a sultry navy translucent-finish and a matte gunmetal actuator-cap.  Embellished with a black braided fabric band, the bottle conveys the dark air of noir.

Wildblue Noir (1.7 fl oz/50 mL) retails for $45 and will be available at Banana Republic stores worldwide beginning September 2013.
