File Application to Cease Being a Reporting Issuer in each of the Provinces of Canada12:34 EST Monday, February 04, 2013 CALGARY, Alberta (Business Wire) -- Total Capital S.A. (Paris: FP)(LSE: TTA)(NYSE: TOT) and Total Capital Canada Ltd. (collectively, the "Total Entities") today announce that they have applied to the securities regulatory authorities in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland for a decision that they cease to be reporting issuers in such jurisdictions. As a reporting issuer under Canadian securities laws, the Total Entities are subject to Canadian filing and disclosure requirements pursuant to a decision document issued by the Alberta Securities Commission and the Ontario Securities Commission (2010 ABASC 269) dated June 16, 2010. If the decision is made, the Total Entities will no longer be reporting issuers in any jurisdiction in Canada and as a result, will no longer be required to file financial statements and other continuous disclosure documents with Canadian securities regulatory authorities, but financial statements and other continuous disclosure documents of their parent company, TOTAL S.A., will continue to be available through the United States Securities and Exchange Commission's website at www.sec.gov, so long as TOTAL S.A. remains a reporting company under the United States Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, and will be published on the website of TOTAL S.A. at www.total.com.
